A Day of Service That Made a Real Difference
The Dewey Beach and Milton Lions Clubs came together for a hands-on community service project that made an immediate impact: building an accessibility ramp for a local resident facing mobility challenges. This simple but vital structure allows the homeowner to safely enter and exit their home—something many of us take for granted, but which can be life-changing for someone with limited mobility.
The project reflects the core values of the Lions: stepping up when there’s a need and serving without hesitation.
A True Team Effort

Volunteers from both clubs gave their time and talents to make the ramp a reality. We want to extend our deepest thanks to:

From measuring and cutting to lifting and installing, each Lion brought energy, teamwork, and a positive spirit to the job site.
Why We Serve
The Lions Club is the world’s largest service organization, with a mission to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, and promote peace and understanding.
Locally, our Dewey Beach and Milton Lions Clubs focus on tangible, community-based support—building ramps, hosting food drives, providing vision screenings, helping neighbors with disabilities, and funding scholarships for students.
This ramp build is just one example of what service can look like: direct, personal, and deeply impactful.
